FORMAT : The tournament is played on a swiss pairing basis - all players guaranteed at least 3 matches. Seedings are done by the organising committee and no disputes will be entertained.
NB. Only players who make it through to the plate finals and finals will be able to play on those days.

Rules of entry

1. To qualify to enter the Midlands Champs a player must be a member of a club and be an active league player (regular or reserve) and be registered on SportyHQ.

2. The draw will be sent out on email and the onus is on the player to establish his/her playing times.

3. The Championship will be played according to the rules of Squash SA. Squash SA's Code of Conduct will be in force.

4. It is compulsory for both players to mark/referee the match following theirs.

5. Players are to report to their respective Tournament Convenor at least 15 minutes before their scheduled starting time. If a player is NOT ready to play within 10 minutes after the appointed time he/she will be scratched, unless the Tournament Convenor decides otherwise.

6. All matches HAVE to be played at the stipulated venue and time on the draw. Players not meeting this requirement will be disqualified.

7. All decisions made by the Tournament Convenor will be final.

9. Players not fulfilling/or arriving for their fixture other than as a result of an injury, will be scratched, and will not be able to participate in this tournament for the next two years. Players cannot be replaced once the tournament starts.

10. Players who do not play all their matches will not qualify for any prizes.

11. Players must attend prize giving in person on Friday night in order to claim their prize.
Failure to do so will result in prize money being forfeited unless the MSU Committee
decides that extenuating circumstances warrant the waiving of this rule.

12. Please note that WSF have confirmed that all U19s must wear protective eyewear at tournaments, unless otherwise explicitly stated by the federation in the country where the tournament is being held.
